This was a wood fired piece so it went into the kiln with out glaze, the color seen on this piece is random and from ash that collected on it and melted at very high temperatures! 2300-2500 degrees F.

OMG... the wood firing really did this piece justice! I love the form and the flame patterns from the other pieces that were sitting on top of it are beautiful. was the right side of it down in the fire box with all of that nice crusty stuff built up on it?
